We bring the gear in by hand, clean and re-sand the pavers, and keep the mess off the house and the neighbours. Clay and concrete pavers near the ocean in Bondi, Bronte and Coogee also pick up salt, so a sealer is worth asking about once they are clean and dry.
Pavers move water through their joints, which is good for drainage and bad for weeds, moss and ants. Over time the joint sand washes out, the pavers rock underfoot and the surface goes green in the shade.
We clean pavers with a rotary surface cleaner, then re-sand the joints with a fine or polymeric sand once they're dry. If you want sealing, we apply a sealer matched to the paver, usually a breathable penetrating one.
