Deck cleaning for Avalon Beach homes
Avalon Beach is in the Northern Beaches Council area, about 15 minutes from our base in Elanora Heights. The suburb is known for its timber and glass houses by well-known architects, many set low into the bush with decks wrapping around them. We use a timber-safe cleaner and a low rinse, so the deck or cladding is clean and ready for oil, and the grain stays smooth.
Decks near the ocean go grey quickly in sun and salt. A timber cleaner at low pressure gets them ready for oiling.
Shaded decks grow black mould and stay damp. Treatment and a low-pressure clean along the grain fix both.
Newer homes are larger but still use a lot of timber, stone and glass.
How often in Avalon Beach
For most Avalon Beach homes, deck cleaning is worth doing every 12 months, before oiling. Salt and sand build up quickly this close to the water.
What affects the quote in Avalon Beach
- Salt exposure: heavier salt build-up can need a pre-rinse and a second pass on glass and metal.
- Bush debris: gutters and roofs may need clearing before washing.
- Leaf litter: tannin stains and moss need treating, not just washing.
Every quote is fixed and itemised by surface after a quick inspection.

Nathan did a great job washing the external sides of our house. The weatherboard was dirty and had cobwebs. Nathan went above and beyond our expectations, the house was perfectly clean and all the cobwebs were gone.
Nathan did an incredible job at my home cleaning all my outdoor paving areas. He even washed some extra areas of my house free of charge and his price was very reasonable. He's a lovely fella and was prompt, friendly and professional. I highly recommend Nathan's services.
Nathan just completed a pressure wash of our travertine pavers under our alfresco area, around the pool and the sundeck. What an absolutely fantastic job. Nathan is punctual, knowledgeable, polite and left our place neat and tidy. We will certainly be calling him back on a regular basis and can highly recommend him.
